National Museum of African Canadian History and Culture

The National African- Canadian Museum of History & Culture (NACMHC) is central to the AfriCana Village VISION!, it will be the jewel in the crown of AfriCana Village. NMACHC will be a testament to our ancestors contributions and the greatness of African- Canadians who’s blood and sweat help make Canada what it is today. AfriCana Village will be a world class institution seeking,  documenting, and preserving African- Canadian history, culture and folklore from Newfoundland to British Columbia, from the Yukon to Ontario.  Also amongst the primary objectives of AfriCana Village is to seek out, save, rescue for safe-keeping and restoration continental African ancient texts and artifacts in order to save it from destruction due to the lack of funds, resources, and or proper preservation facilities and techniques.  We will also committ to repatriating these artifacts, texts, scrolls and books back to the Motherland when its safe to do so at a future date. In our opinion these ancient African treasures and artifacts should be available for international traveling exhibitions, however these artifacts should ultimately reside where they were created.
