SHARE YOUR HISTORY... TELL OUR STORIES!!
We have a great story to tell as African- Canadians we must keep our great GRIOT tradition alive.
We are encouraging ALL African- Canadians to video tape and or record the stories and life experiences of our elders, friends, relatives and and our selves so we can archive this information for future generations at the proposed National Museum of African-Canadian History and Culture. We encourage you to take pictures, and make videos and recordings of your grand parents, parents and family members telling their stories about where they came from, their good and bad experiences in Canada, there failures and successes and their hopes and dreams for future generations. We would like to know their life stories and any other cultural information, wisdom and insights they may want to share with present and future generations.
We will post these African-Canadian GRIOT stories on Africana Village website in due course so it can be viewed and listened to by the world.
Please contact us for more information on where to send the video's, pictures and audio tape and any other African Canadian artifacts, images, content you would like to donate to the National Museum of African Canadian History and Culture.
Help to preserve African- Canadian History and Culture by "Sharing your Story and History"!
