Toronto Waterfront

The corporation will also be preparing a long-term development plan and business strategy for waterfront renewal, consistent with the City's Central Waterfront Part II Plan.

Relationship to City Council
The development plan and the business strategy will be subject to the approval of all three levels of government, including Toronto City Council.

Eligibility criteria
Citizens of Toronto with demonstrated project and board management experience in areas related to waterfront renewal, such as housing, environment, transportation, culture and heritage, are eligible to sit on the Board of Directors.

Composition of the board
There are nine citizen members of the board and one chair. Each of the three levels of government selects three citizen members to serve on the board.

Selection process
Each level of government selects three citizen appointees. At the City, Board members are selected through an open and public process that includes approval by City Council.

Term of office
Members of the board serve for a period of up to three years.

Frequency of meetings
The Board of Directors meets monthly.
