What is AfriCana Village & Museum?

AfriCana Village & Museum (AfriCana) is a unique for profit/non profit hybrid social enterprise,a community- driven African-Caribbean "Heritage Tourism" complex bringing the warm hospitality and cultural experiences of the African-Caribbean diaspora to  Greater Toronto Area/ Niagara Region, Ontario.

AfriCana Village & Museum will be a new cultural and performing arts complex that will showcase the rich tapestry of African-Canadian-Caribbean culture in Canada

AfriCana Village & Museum will be developed and operated through AfriCana Village Development Corporation, a for- profit company. 10-20% of netl profits will be distributed by AfriCana Village & Museum to the African-Canadian community, as well as Caribbean,  African, and diaspora social, cultural, and economic development projects.  AfriCana Village & Museum will be the  charitable and non- profit arm of the AfriCana Village Development Corp.

AfriCana Village & Museum will bring hope, self-esteem, social development, and economic vitality to the African-Caribbean Canadian community in particular, and give tangible meaning to the overall Canadian claim of a just and diverse society.
